After avoiding using cool colours for the majority of my career I visited Thailand and fell in love with green. In particular this green, turquoise blue and bright nectarine orange. I suddenly realised an entire world of colour palettes was out there I hadn’t discovered yet and decided to stop placing these arbitrary rules on myself when it comes to colour. From this point on, every city I visit has gifted me a new colour scheme. (Thailand also had the tiniest birds I’d ever seen - or maybe Australian birds are just giant?)
